As you may know, federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits are set to expire November 1, 2025. We know this change will impact many of you directly and want to share how ڰ is here to support you. 

I need help! What resources are available if SNAP benefits are no longer available beginning November 1?

ڰ-Specific Resources

  • Starting Monday, November 3, 2025, any ڰ community member can show their valid EBT card and their ڰ Campus Card in the Fall River cafeteria and Hawk's Nest to receive four food items for free each day. Many thanks to the College’s vendor Epicurean Feast for this partnership.
  • The College has a limited number of grocery store gift cards available upon request for students whose SNAP benefits have been impacted. To request a gift card, please complete the . You will be asked to upload a photo of your SNAP/EBT card when submitting the form. Gift cards will be available for distribution at all of our campus locations.

How can I get involved to support the ڰ community?

  • Volunteer at the ڰ Mobile Food Market scheduled for November 13, 2025 at your campus location by completing the . There are already over 500 registrants signed up to receive groceries at the November market and we anticipate more –volunteer help is desperately needed!
  • Donate money to your local food bank or to ڰ’s partner, the . Each dollar donated to a food bank purchases between $5 and $10 worth of food, depending on your location, so your monetary donation has a huge impact.

In partnership with the Greater Boston Food Bank, ڰ Community College offers a monthly Mobile Food Market for those in need. The Market provides a variety of free fresh fruits, vegetables, and dairy items to students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Our Mobile Food Market is held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at each campus location.

Overview

  • Pre-registration is required.

  • The distribution is a “drive-through” format. The groceries are pre-packed and will be loaded into your vehicle by volunteers.

  • The Market will be held rain or shine.

Pre-Registration

The registration form closes at 8 a.m. on the Monday before the Mobile Food Market. This timing allows for the correct ordering of groceries.

If you have registered for the Mobile Food Market, you will receive a confirmation email on the second Tuesday of the month during the afternoon or evening. This email confirmation contains your registration identification number and pick-up time. 

Printed pre-registration confirmation is required at the Market’s check-in. If you do not have access to a printer, please write your confirmation number on a piece of paper.

The pre-registration form for the November 13 ڰ Mobile Food Market is now closed in order to have enough supplies to accommodate the record number of registrants. The pre-registration form for the December 11 Mobile Food Market will be available to complete starting the week of November 17, 2025.
