窪做惇蹋厙 Community College students honored for academic achievement during Virtual Phi Theta Kappa Recognition Week 

This week, the Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges (MACC) honored 窪做惇蹋厙 Community College studentsHannah Davignon of Acushnet, Lindsay Dias of Fall River,畝紳餃烈硃喝梭Rhuda of Dartmouth, for their induction into the 2020 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-Massachusetts Academic Team.

窪做惇蹋厙s students were celebrated amongst the highest academic achieving students from the states 15-member community college system, through a virtual PTK Community College Excellence Week on MACCs social media campaignFrom Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1, 2020, MACC will highlight the student members of the All-Massachusetts Academic Team for their outstanding academic achievement and exemplary student service. 

Congratulations Lindsay, Hannah and Paul on being named to the 2020 Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society All-Massachusetts Academic Team. We are so proud of everything that you have been able to achieve. Every year, we look forward to this opportunity to highlight the community colleges commitment to access, opportunity, and excellence. Despite the virtual nature of this years recognition, the outstanding achievements of our students cannot be understated. We are proud of all they have畝ccomplished and畚elebrate the continued pursuit of their academic and career aspirations, said TomSannicandro, Director of the Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges (MACC). 

Traditionally, a celebratory ceremony is held at the Massachusetts State HouseHowever, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Phi Theta Kappa All-Massachusetts Academic Team ceremony originally scheduled for April 8, 2020, was cancelled. 

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of two-yearcolleges and疲as recognized and encouraged scholarship among community college students for痂ore than 100砰ears while promoting the academic integrity of the associate degree program. Students with grade point averages of 3.5 or higher are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa.
